They’ve collaborated with Dolly Parton, Lacrae. Now they’re coming to the NW Washington Fair

The Grammy-winning duo King & Country is coming to the Northwest Washington Fair, which is back for 10 days Aug. 11-20 in Whatcom County.

The Australia-born but Nashville-based Christian pop brothers have won four Grammy awards, one Billboard Music Award and 13 K-LOVE Fan Awards, and have partnered to make music with other musicians such as Dolly Parton, Tori Kelly, Timbaland, Lecrae, Echosmith and Kirk Franklin, the duo’s website states.

In a “bold pursuit of a more just and loving world,” Joel and Luke Smallbone released their latest album on March 10, titled “What Are We Waiting For?”

“We want to encourage people to engage in the larger realms of life, to reach out in community. We’re all seeking. Hopefully this (album) provides that place. After all, art bypasses the head and goes straight to the heart,” the duo’s website states.

King & Country will be performing at the fair in Lynden on Wednesday, Aug. 17, with tickets starting at $35. For those wanting a VIP experience a $185 ticket will include prime seating, premium parking, fair gate admission and dinner with full bar.

Tickets can be purchased online for the one-night event. For those without a VIP concert ticket, fair gate admission tickets are required.
