The Tuttles perform with fiddler John Mailander at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the YWCA ballroon, 1026 N. Forest St.

The band is comprised of singers and instrumentalists who have been playing music since they were barely old enough to hold a pick. The band has received numerous awards: Best Band for three years from The Northern California Bluegrass Society; Molly Tuttle voted Best Guitarist, Michael Tuttle twice voted Best Mandolin Player, and Jack Tuttle voted Best Fiddler.

Best Vocalist awards went to Molly in 2012. She grew up playing predominantly with her family band, but she recently has branched out with other bands, too. She moved to Nashville in March, played on the Grand Ole Opry recently, and will play at the Newport Folk Festival this year with her Boston band, The Goodbye Girls.

Mailander has become known for his soulful playing on fiddle, mandolin and other stringed instruments.

Admission is $15 at the door. More on the musicians: thetuttleswithajlee.com, johnmailander.com.
