Music: Grammy-winning guitarists play Lincoln Theatre
The Lincoln Theatre presents two Grammy-winners, guitarist Albert Lee and dobro and steel guitarist Cindy Cashdollar, at 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at the Lincoln Theatre, 712 S. First St., in Mount Vernon.
Lee, recognized as one of top rockabilly guitarists, has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris, and the Everly Brothers. He also has maintained a solo career.
Cashdollar (her real name) has also worked with notable names, including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, and Rod Stewart. She received five Grammy awards while playing with Asleep at the Wheel. Her ability to complement a song or step out with an imaginative solo has made her one of the most in-demand musicians on the American roots music scene.
Reserved seats range from $15 to $35. Details: 360-336-8955, lincolntheatre.org.
