Families: Make ice cream at Hardware Science day
This month’s Hardware Science program offers the chance to make ice cream like a chemist.
Programs are free at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Ace Hardware store in the Sehome Village shopping center.
“I want the kids to explore the scientific method in an enjoyable way and learn how to make hypotheses, make procedures, follow instructions, collect data, and analyze the results,” said Shawn Bjorback, who teaches the monthly programs. “We all do this process naturally, but when we pay attention to the details, then our understanding and results can really improve, and in this case hopefully our results become deliciously edible.”
