Theater: Film noir mystery ‘Butt Kapinski’ at iDiOM
The iDiOM Theater, 1418 Cornwall Ave., presents the return of “Butt Kapinski,” an award-winning solo show by Los Angeles performer Deanna Fleysher, at 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, June 25-27.
The show is a tour de force of frenzied improvisation, roping in the entire audience to fill out the cast of a film-noir murder mystery set in Bellingham’s seedy underworld, with the titular detective, a manic mixture of Sam Spade and Elmer Fudd, acting as conductor, tour guide and protagonist all in one.
Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance at idiomtheater.com or $12 at the door. Details: 360-305-3524.
