Bellingham Theatre Guild presents “The Drowsy Chaperone,” a hilarious sendup of 1920s Broadway musical comedies, June 12-28 at the guild playhouse, 1600 H St.

You’ll fall in love with the mistaken identities, dream sequences, an unflappable English butler, an absent-minded dowager, a Broadway impresario and his Follies production, comic gangsters, a ditzy chorus girl, a harried best man, and the vhaperone, who specializes in “rousing anthems” and is not above upstaging the occasional co-star.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, June 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27; and at 2 p.m. Sundays, June 14, 21, and 28.

Tickets: $14 general, $12 students and seniors, $8 children. Details: 360-733-1811, bellinghamtheatreguild.com.
