Books: Jack Nisbet shares new book
Spokane author Jack Nisbet’s new book, “Ancient Places: People and Landscape in the Emerging Northwest,” is a collection of nonfiction stories that reveal the symbiotic relationship between people and place in the Pacific Northwest.
He will discuss his book at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Village Books, 1200 11th St. His talk event is part of the Nature of Writing series, in partnership with North Cascades Institute.
A Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Award-winner and a best-selling author, Nisbet is a historian, teacher and writer. He is the author of “Sources of the River: Tracking David Thompson across Western North America,” which won the Murray Morgan Prize from the Washington State Historical Society; “The Collector: David Douglas, a Naturalist at Work;” and “Visible Bones: Journeys through Time in the Columbia River Country.”
