Book: Jan Ellison celebrates her debut novel with beer reception

Debut novelist Jan Ellison shares her book, “A Small Indiscretion,” about the power of obsession, the stranglehold of the past, and one woman’s reckoning with her own fateful mistakes, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Village Books, 1200 11th St.

A reception (with free beer) follows. Steve Ellison, Jan’s brother, is the brewer and production manager at Boundary Bay Brewery, and is offering Boundary Bay IPA to attendees after the event.
