Painter Lorna Libert plans presentation at Lynden’s Jansen Art Center

Artist Lorna Libert paints a cow and talks to local high school students at Whatcom Museum's  Lightcatcher building about careers in art during the 16th annual Art Career Day Friday, March 15, 2013. About 140 Whatcom County high school students attended. Students  also met with other artists, film producers and game designers  to talk about careers in art.

Lorna Libert presents a lecture and demonstration of her art at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Jansen Art Center, 321 Front St., in Lynden. Libert's paintings are inspired by old structures, such as abandoned buildings, weathered boats and rusting trucks.
