Seattle Sounders FC extended its regional broadcast agreements with KCPQ (Fox, Channel 13) and KZJO (JOEtv) on Thursday after the first year of the partnership resulted in a 32-percent increase and the highest household ratings in Major League Soccer.

The multiyear agreement also includes a 30-minute pregame show, a postgame show expanded to 30 minutes, and other Sounders specials and segments.

“As a club, we are thrilled with the success of our local television broadcasts last year — the best in MLS — and have every intention of increasing those numbers in 2015,” owner Adrian Hanauer said through a club release.

Sounders games were carried on NBC affiliated KING-5 and KONG 6/16 over their first five seasons.

The club also reached a separate multi-year agreement with Root Sports, which will continue as the club’s out-of-market broadcast partner throughout the Northwest.

In the coming season, eight Sounders games will be shown on Fox with all other non-national telecasts on JOEtv. KIRO 97.3-FM will carry all radio broadcasts.

Ross Fletcher, Kasey Keller and Jackie Montgomery will provide game play-by-play, color and commentary. Meanwhile, former Sounders Steve Zakuani and Marcus Hahnemann will join returning Taylor Graham and Pete Fewing as rotating analysts.
