Visitors to Northwest Trek on Saturday and Sunday can learn about black and grizzly bears as the wildlife park holds Bear Camp.
Special programs on bears will include a demonstration on how to keep a campsite safe for bears and humans, and one during which a grizzly bear tests “bearproof” containers. There also will be a chance to speak with bear keepers, watch the park’s bears enjoy special treats and create bear-themed crafts.
Visitors can see the park’s grizzly and black bears while taking the Northwest Loop of the walking tour.
All the activities are free with park admission or membership. The park is at 11610 Trek Drive E., Eatonville. For more details, go to nwtrek.org.
