The number of Puget Sound Anglers South Sound Chapter members who gave up part of a Saturday to clean up along the Skookumchuck River. With the help of Jack Lane from the Thurston County Public Works Department who supplied the trash bags and arranged for the pickup, the group filled 30 big bags with garbage, discarded fishing items and debris on Feb. 28. They cleaned the river between the towns of Rainier and Tenino off state Route 507.
