Prana Hot Yoga is holding a donation-based Hatha yoga class Saturday at noon. The event is a fundraiser for Save the Children, an international organization that promotes children’s rights.
Saturday’s event is part of a push by former Puyallup High student Kim Matz to raise money for the organization. She has sponsored a child, Raju of Bangladesh, through the organization for the past five years. Matz will cap her fundraising efforts with an Ironman triathlon race in Texas this spring.
Matz graduated from the University of Washington in 2004 and expects to graduate from Yakima-based Pacific Northwest University of Health Science in May.
