Pyramid Creek Sno-Park

WHAT: Pyramid Creek Sno-Park, with 68 miles of trails, is a popular destination for snowmobilers. Snowmobiling is one of the state's most popular winter activities and the state's Winter Recreation Program offers more than 3,000 miles of trails, including this collection of trails near Greenwater. Pyramid Creek offers 2,720 feet of elevation gain.

WHEN: Open dawn to dusk.

WHERE: Near Greenwater.

GETTING THERE: Take state Route 410 one mile east of Greenwater to Forest Service Road 70 and continue east on Road 70 to Pyramid Creek.

COST: A sno-park permit is included with the required registration of snowmobiles.

ALSO: Pyramid Creek has 110 parking spots, but the Washington State Parks website encourages visitors to arrive early to assure they get a spot. Grooming updates also can be checked on the department’s website. Grooming reports are updated daily. There are restrooms available at the trailhead and along the trail. No snowmobiles are allowed in the nearby Norse Peak Wilderness.
