Friday is the last chance to enter Santa Runs Tacoma, a four-race event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13.

Preregistration closed Wednesday at midnight with 1,357 people signed up for distances ranging from 1 kilometer to a half marathon. However, registration will be available Friday at the Tacoma City Marathon Association office, 3812 N. 26th St.

Entry fee is $90 for the half marathon, $45 for the 10K, $37 for the 5K and $15 for the 1K kids’ race. The marathon is a new distance for the 6-year-old event.

The race starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at the corner of A and 10th streets in downtown Tacoma. Portions of Dock Street and Ruston Way will be closed during the race. For directions on how to access these areas during the race, visit the event website santarunstacoma.com.
