Winter plowing operations are starting this week on Hurricane Ridge Road in Olympic National Park. The road is scheduled to open Friday, Nov. 28 and to be open Fridays-Sundays and Monday holidays through March 29.

The road is scheduled to be open daily dec. 26-Jan. 4.

“After an active fall repairing potholes, clearing culverts and preparing for winter storms, it’s time to focus on snow removal and providing weekend access to Hurricane Ridge,” superintendent Sarah Creachbaum said in a prepared statement.

Current road conditions are posted on the park website and the road and weather hotline, 360-565-3131. All vehicles must carry chains when traveling above the Heart O’the Hills entrance station until April 1.

Most people go to gyms to lift weights or do other kinds of resistance training. They lift to become stronger, or because it's a good way to get exercise. But every so often, a muscular and obviously professional bodybuilder comes to an ordinary gym to work out.
