While shoppers chase deals at department stores on Black Friday, anglers can chase rainbows in Southwest Washington lakes.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is stocking lakes with thousands of trout ranging from 15-16.5 pounds.
Stocked lakes include Fort Borst Park and South Lewis County Park ponds in Lewis County, Kress Lake in Cowlitz County, Rowland Lake in Kickitat County and Battle Ground Lake and Klineline Pond in Clark County.
These areas will be closed to fishing until Nov. 28. In recent weeks the WDFW has stocked 46 Western Washington lakes with 340,000 catchable trout. Anglers must have a current Washington freshwater fishing license valid through March 31, 2015.
