By the numbers


The number of water access sites in Pierce and Thurston counties managed by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife. They include the 116th Street site on the Puyallup River, Ohop Lake, Nisqually River handicap site and Skookumchuck River. All told, the department owns or manages more than 700 sites around the state. A Discover Pass or a vehicle access pass is required to at all of the department’s access sites.
