Several public lands will waive entry fees in honor of Veterans Day.
Washington State Parks and the National Park Service have designated Nov. 11 as a fee free day. The U.S. Forest Service is waiving fees Nov. 8-11.
“We honor our veterans each Nov. 11 and every other day of the year,” U.S. Forest Service chief Tom Tidwell said in a prepared statement. “We hope that this time will serve as a way for our veterans and other visitors to find our national forests and grasslands, a place where they can take time out for themselves.”
