Women’s hoodie

THE SITUATION: A solid hoodie is a staple for any outdoor activity in the colder months. While there are countless choices for women, a hoodie usually hits at or right below the hip and tends to be a bit on the bulky side. That makes the Outdoor Research Women’s Salida Long Hoodie a rare find. Its length extends to the mid-thigh to provide both extra protection and an elongated look that flatters any body type. The fit is relaxed but feminine, effectively accentuating curves without clinging to them.

THE DETAILS: Made from an Alpin-Wool that’s quick-drying and not itchy, the Salida Long Hoodie has a full-front zipper with internal storm flap to keep the elements out. It’s warm enough to wear by itself on chilly days, but also compact enough to be used as a midlayer when the temperature drops. The hoodie has a balaclava-style hood that’s large enough to provide full head coverage and two fleece-lined pockets to keep hands warm and cozy. It is available in sizes extra small to extra large, in black, brown and gray.

PRICE: $155.
