WDFW plans meeting to discuss Willapa Bay salmon fisheries

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has scheduled seven meeting this fall and winter to discuss and develop policy for managing salmon fisheries in Willapa Bay.

In a statement released this week, Steve Thiesfeld, WDFW’s regional fish program manager called the fisheries “extremely valuable and popular.”

“"We need the public's help to identify fishery objectives and develop a policy that will ensure sustainable fisheries," he said.
