The median household income of people who participate in alpine skiing. That tops the list of 51 sports and activities tracked by the National Sporting Goods Association. Research done by the association earlier this year identified the cost to participate in sports and recreational activities as a key barriers to greater participation. Golf was second with a median household income of $85,000. The rest of the top five are ice hockey ($82,000), scuba diving ($81,000) and power boating ($77,000). At the other end of the spectrum, wrestling had the lowest median income, at $50,000.
