A celebration commemorating a new equestrian area at Spokane’s Riverside State Park is set for 10 a.m. on Sept. 27, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission announced.
The 6 ½-hour event will highlight horse-riding activities the new area is designed to promote.
Events include jousting, drill team performances, veterinary demonstrations, pattern riding, horse first aid and orienteering.
There is a $5 per person spaghetti feed at the event. State Park entry is free on Sept. 27.
