A scheduled closure of the Cascades River Road in North Cascades National Park has been postponed until next year, the park complex announced today.
The road servicing popular hiking trails was originally schedule to be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic on Sept. 2. The park plans to install a 60-foot concrete box culvert and debris rack to prevent plugging at the Boston Creek crossing.
