Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival
WHAT: The 49th annual festival will feature what is billed as Snohomish County’s largest fireworks show, a new juried artist booths, battle of the bands, fishing derby, children’s activities, a fly-over, parade, live entertainment and hot dog eating contest.

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS: The kids’ fishing derby will take place from 8-10 a.m. Sept. 6 at the Ivar’s Fishing Pier. Members of the Washington Pilots Association will do a fly-over at 2 p.m. Sept. 6. At the same time, the hot dog eating contest ($20 entry fee) will take place. The children’s and grand parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6. The fireworks will start shortly after dusk Sept. 6. Tours of the lighthouse will be offered Sept. 6-7. There will be storytellers walking around the lighthouse the final two days of the festival.
DINING OPTIONS: In addition to food vendors, other dining options include the Kiwanis Club salmon bake each day and a Boy Scout pancake breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Sept. 6,
OF NOTE: There is no on-site parking. Free shuttle buses will run from Olympic View Middle School, 2600 Mukilteo Speedway, and Kamiak High School, 10801 Harbour Pointe Blvd.
