David Paul Williams, avid angler and fishing author, will talk about fly fishing for smallmouth bass at Thursday’s meeting of the Puget Sound Flyfishers.
Williams will offer tips for fishing for smallmouth bass in the lower Yakima River and Banks Lake.
He is the author of “Fly Fishing for Western Smallmouth” (Stackpole Books), scheduled to be released in July.
In his angling travels, Williams has caught lake trout in Wyoming, bagged brown trout from the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park, hooked all five Pacific salmon species on a fly, and battled with “Mississippi steelhead” (better known as carp).
