The Bellingham Bay Swim Team will host the Fourth Annual Aly Fell Memorial Open Water Swim on Saturday, Aug. 13, on Lake Padden in Bellingham.

The race, which is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start, offers distances of 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometers, and masters swimmers may enter wetsuit or non-wetsuit events. Entry fees range from $30 to $50, depending on race length, but go up $25 on race day and include an event T-shirt and race breakfast.

The event is held in memory of the former Ferndale High School swimmer, who earned a trip to the Class 3A State Championships as a freshman but was killed in a 2009 car crash in Burlington at age 15.
