Six Whatcom County soccer teams won division titles at the Baker Blast tournament, which concluded Sunday.
The North County (NC) Alliance Rebels beat the Junior Hammers Black 4-0 for the Boys’ U11 Copa division title in an all-Whatcom County final, while the NC Alliance FC G06 beat Chilliwack FC Selects 2-0 in the Girls’ U11 final. The Whatcom Football Club (WFC) Rangers 2001 Blue beat the WFC Rangers B02 Gold in an all-Whatcom County final of the Boys’ U15/16 division. The WFC Rangers G04 Blue beat Tiaxtli Girls-04 2-0 in the Girls’ U13 Copa division final, while the WFC Rangers GU 01 Blue beat Crossfire Select-Wilkinson 5-1 in the Girls’ U16 Copa division final. The WFC Rangers G02 Gold beat WFC Rangers GO2 Blue 4-0 in another all-Whatcom County final in the the Girls’ 15U division.
Other Whatcom county teams to advance to division finals were: Junior Hammers Black (Boys’ 10U), WFC Rangers B04 Blue (Boys’ U13 Premier), WFC Rangers 2001 Blue (Boys’ U15/16), WFC Rangers G03 Blue (Girls’ U14 Copa), WFC Rangers G03 Gold (Girls’ U14 Premier), WFC Rangers G01 Gold (Girls’ U16 Premier).
The Rimland Challenge is scheduled for Aug. 12-14 at Northwest Soccer Park in Bellingham.
