Joe Holdridge, longtime Whatcom County golf pro and operator of Joe’s Professional Golf Lab, died Saturday, June 11, after an 11-month battle with glioblastima brain cancer. Holdridge was 56 years old.
A celebration of Holdridge’s life will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Christ the King in Bellingham at 4173 Meridian St.
Holdridge made a career of teaching people the game of golf and worked in California at Pebble Beach, Del Monte and Spyglass Hill early in his career before moving to Bellingham.
In Whatcom County, Holdridge worked at Shuksan Golf Club, Sudden Valley Golf Course and Lake Padden Golf Course before opening Joe’s Professional Golf Lab with his friend, Al Koch.
