The Bellingham Post 7 baseball team routed the Skagit Sox 10-4 in Post 7’s opener on Tuesday, May 26, at Joe Martin Stadium.
Jordan Wittenberg broke the game open for Bellingham with a two-run home run in the fifth. That hit gave Post 7 a 5-4 lead and it kept adding each inning after that, coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview.
Wittenberg finished 2 for 4, Tanner Tutterrow was 2 for 5, Noah Rawls went 3 for 5 and Kyler Brudwick was 3 for 4.
“I like the team’s make-up a lot,” Slesk said. “Each year is different with the chemistry and how it comes together. They came out and played well together.”
