UCLA commit Justin Hooper, University of Maine’s Jake Marks and Southern Mississippi’s Chase Scott will join the Bellingham Bells during the 2015 season.
Hooper, a 6-foot-7 inch left-handed pitcher from Concord, Calif., is a high school senior at De La Salle High School and a 2016 UCLA commit. As a junior at De La Salle in 2014, Hooper went 6-3 with a 2.04 ERA and 58 strikeouts. In March 2015, Hooper was named to Perfect Game’s Preseason First-Team All American team and the All-California Region team.

As a sophomore for the Black Bears in 2014, he pitched primarily out of the bullpen, where he held teams to zero runs in three of his outings. In 2013, Marks was named one of Maine’s Scholar-Athlete “Rising Stars” and also received the America East Conference’s Rookie of the Week honors.
A 5-foot-11 infielder from Hampton, Ga., Scott is a junior at Southern Mississippi. Scott was recently named as Conference USA’s “Hitter of the Week” after extending his hitting streak to 21 games. On the season, he is batting .299 and has been one of the leading run producers on a very good Southern Miss team.
