The Bellingham Blazers held on for a 2-1 win over the Wentachee Wolves in game four of the first round of the Northern Pacific Hockey League Playoffs on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
With the win, the Blazers are just one win away from a return to the Cascade Cup Series, which they been to the past two years.
Sasha Perron scored the opening goal for the Blazers, assisted by Boris Knyazev and Stephen Smith. Wenatchee answered later in the second period.
Shortly after the beginning of the third period, Garrett Foster put in the go-ahead goal off a pass from Kyler Moore, and the Bellingham defense held off the Wolves. Blazers goalie Cody Foster came away with 39 saves.
