Blazers hold on for win over league-leading Warriors

The Bellingham Blazers, a junior hockey team, held on for a 3-2 victory over West Sound on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Bellingham Sportsplex.

The Warriors had a 2-0 advantage after the first period, but Bellingham got goals from Boris Knyazev, Kristjan Toivola (2).

Knyazev also assisted on one of Toivola’s goals. Mason Wade, Cody Foster, Nick Scherbinin and Kyler Moore also added an assist each for the Blazers.

The Blazers move to 11-2-0-2 for the season and sit just three points behind the Warriors in the standings.

Bellingham will host Eugene next at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the Sportsplex.
