A fast and exciting night of racing presented by Barleans and Brown’s Equipment saw a couple of point leaders strengthen their leads and a fantastic finale’ to the night at Deming Speedway. Chase Schmidt took home a win in a classic contest in the Speedmart Hoosier 600 division. He was joined in victory lane by point leaders Tyson Cross in the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 class and Kaitlyn Hammer from the Mytrafficman.net 600 division, as well as Tyler McLeod in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints.
In one of the most entertaining main events in the division’s history, Chase Schmidt emerged triumphant in the Speedmart Hoosier 600 open division. Austin Sheridan held for strong second with Brock Lemley emerging from a large and talented pack of drivers to grab third place. Schmidt, Lemley and Joe Constance were the heat winners. Wilkinson was the night’s fastest qualifier.
Tyson Cross picked up needed momentum heading into the final week of Deming Speedway in 2014, leading all 25 laps of the Shots 2 Go Espresso 1200 division main event.
Kaitlyn Hammer has set herself up for success heading into championship weekend. Hammer led all 25 laps of the main event in the Mytrafficman.net 600 Restricted class on Friday night to extend her point lead heading into next weekend’s championship double header. Hammer and Spencer Constance were the heat race winners.

Tyler McLeod picked up another clean sweep in the Kasey Kahne Junior Sprints. After winning his heat and setting quick time in time trials, McLeod rolled a zero invert to start on the pole and led all 15 laps of the main without challenge. Peyton Hagen ran second with Haley Constance on his tail in third. Hagen and Constance were the heat race winners along with McLeod.
