Sports Blog: Bells' offense getting overshadowed

The Bellingham Bells' 26-9 overall record has them 10.5 games out in front of the Victoria HarbourCats, and the proficiency with which they've hit is a big reason for that nearly-insurmountable gap.

Dominant pitching has been the foundation for Bellingham's run, with the Bells' staff posting league bests in earned runs allowed (96), hits (230), strikeouts (315) and total runs allowed (127) in 321 innings. But their hitting, which has largely gone unnoticed, has been strong, too.
