Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club instructor Jeff Coston won the 2016 Club Car WWC PGA Chapter Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Rainier Golf and Country Club in Des Moines.
Coston, who turned 61 on Sunday, shot a first-round 73 on Monday and a 71 on Tuesday, which set him up for a playoff with Brian Davis of Grays Harbor Country Club. Coston won the playoff by sinking a 10-foot birdie putt for birdie on the first hole.
“It feels good, man,” Coston said. “I went out there blind, because I’d never seen the course before. I’ve never done that my whole career.”
This was the fourth time Coston has won the event and his third win this year. He won the Washington Open from May 14-18 at Meridian Valley Country Club in Kent and the Washington Senior Open held May 31-June 2 at The Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim.
