The Squalicum girls’ soccer team came together for a 6-2 win over Burlington-Edison on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Kirby Field.
“It was good to get the first win,” said Squalicum coach David Kish in a phone interview. “Our forwards definitely capitalized on every opportunity they had.”
Kish attributes the win to the sustained effort of a dynamic midfield and the five defenders who played the entire game, as well as the scoring forwards.
The team plays again at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, against Bellingham at Civic Stadium.
