Ferndale girls’ soccer opens with 1-0 victory over Lynden

The Ferndale girls’ soccer team opened the season with a 1-0 victory over Lynden on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with the help of a strong backline and a determined forward.

Jalissa Somers and Elsa Ericson held the back line against Lynden, which had a strong competitive showing during its first game of the season, Gonzalez said.

Ferndale plays Sehome at home and Lynden hosts Lynden Christian on Thursday, Sept. 10. Both games start at 4 p.m.
