Lynden comes from behind to win 2-1 against Burlington-Edison

After conceding a goal in the 20th minute, Lynden’s boys’ soccer team scored two straight goals in its 2-1 win against Burlington-Edison on Tuesday, April 28, at Bender Fields.

Jonathon Lara scored a goal in the 46th minute off an Alejandra Huante assist and Miguel Gonzalez scored a goal off a Gerardo Quiroz assist in the 51st minute.

“It was an inspiring performance,” Lynden coach Drew Smiley said in a phone interview. “It was our senior game and the guys responded.”

Lynden will take on Sedro-Woolley next at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, on the road.
