DeVange scores 3 goals, 2 assists in Sehome’s 10-0 win

Isaac DeVange scored three goals and added two assists to lead Sehome’s boys’ soccer team in its 10-0 victory against Blaine on Tuesday, April 21, at Civic Stadium.

Sammy Pacheco-Rodriguez scored two goals, Connor McGovern had a goal and an assist, and Noah Byford had a goal and an assist to contribute to the Mariners’ 10 goals.

“We really played nice soccer,” Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview. “We pushed our guys up, we increased our offense and it really worked. It was a team effort of really beautiful soccer.”

Gabriel Weight played a great game on defense for Sehome, Sylvester said. Charlie Greenan and Jake Bell’s play on defense also allowed DeVange and others push up on the offense, Sylvestor highlighted.

Sehome will take on Lynden Christian next at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Civic Stadium. Blaine will play Lynden Christian next at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, at Bender Fields.
