Squalicum’s boys’ soccer team cruised to a 3-0 Northwest Conference win over Ferndale on Tuesday, April 14, at Whatcom Community College’s Orca Field.
Eli Guidroz scored a pair of goals to lead the Storm. Quinn Carpenter also scored an unassisted goal, and BJ James assisted on one of Guidroz’s goals.
“We hit the post twice and had some other chances in the first half where our finishing wasn’t perfect,” Squalicum coach Joe McAuliffe said in a phone interview. “It was good play, a lot of people got involved in the attack. In the second half it was the same, but better finishing.”
Ferndale goalkeeper Nikita Leonovets saved eight shots for the Golden Eagles as the Storm pile on 20 shots.
