Ben Peterson assisted both goals for Squalicum’s boys’ soccer team in its 2-0 victory over Lynden Christian on Wednesday, April 8, at Bender Fields.
The Storm’s Ramon Beltran netted the first goal at the 46th minute and Evan Johnson got the second in the 51st minute.
In a game where the Lyncs were shorthanded, Lynden Christian coach Brent De Ruyter was happy with the performance of his team.
“For missing eight varsity guys the team executed almost perfectly,” De Ruyter said. “There were five JV players who got the gameplan this week and did everything they could. Just had a five minute window where we got loose in the back and allowed them to get through.”
