VanRijswick scores two goals in Blaine’s 4-2 win

Konner VanRijswick scored two goals to lead Blaine’s boys’ soccer team in its 4-2 victory against Vashon Island on Saturday, April 4, at Vashon Island High School.

Aaron Johannesson and Kyle Sentkowski also scored a goal for the Borderites. Goalkeeper Tristan Soto saved 15 shots.

“There was good communication from the team and they played with a lot of confidence in the game,” Blaine coach Giovanni Quesada said in a phone interview.

Blaine will resume Northwest Conference play against Nooksack Valley next at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Pipeline Fields.
