Parris comes up big for Lynden

Nicolas Parris scored all four goals for Lynden’s boys’ soccer team in its 4-1 victory against Mount Baker on Tuesday, March 24, at Bender Fields.

The Lions’ Jonathon Lara assisted on two of Parris’ goals, Keaton Hanson and Marcus Landeros each added an assist.

Mount Baker scored its lone goal from a free kick over 50 yards from goal, Lynden coach Drew Smiley said in a phone interview.

“I thought they (Mount Baker) were extremely well coached and physical. If you looked at the game you would never think were up 3-0,” Smiley said.

The Lions take on Sehome next at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Northwest Soccer Park. Mount Baker will play Sedro-Woolley next at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, at home.
