Storm blank Lynnwood

Squalicum shut out Lynnwood and the offense did its part, giving the Storm a 3-0 win on Tuesday, March 17, at Civic Stadium.

Tyler Hughes had a goal and an assist to lead the Storm. Eli Guidroz and Brandon Burbank also scored, and Carlos Tovar had an assist.

Owen Davis-Bower had two saves in the shutout, and Cole Herdman added a save in the final minutes when Davis-Bower had to come out with a minor injury.

“We held possession for most of the time, especially in the first half,” Squalicum coach Joe McAuliffe said in a phone interview. “I thought Owen was very sure in the net, and Spencer Wallace and BJ James kept it very well organized in the back. Attack-wise Hughes had some creative plays, and great work rate by Quinn Carpenter.”

Squalicum plays at Bellingham at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Civic Stadium.
