The Bellingham girls’ soccer team won its seventh consecutive game, defeating Anacortes 7-0 in a Northwest Conference matchup on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Northwest Soccer Park.
Mia Hodges got the scoring started with a goal in the fifth minute off of an assist from Paige McAtee, her first of two in the game. The Red Raiders got two goals from Hodges and Peyton Schwinger, and one from Mariah Miller and Kayla Heidenreich in the first half.
“We did a good job moving the ball around and getting good looks,” Bellingham coach Mark Wright said in a phone interview. “Nice to have the girls go out and play under control and seemed like they had control of the game the whole time.”
Emma Brice’s goal in the 79th minute capped the win.
