Dawson, Grahn propel Mariners to win

The Sehome girls’ soccer team, despite playing a man down for most of the second half, came out with a strong 2-0 Northwest Conference victory over Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Northwest Soccer Park.

Fiona Dawson scored her second goal of the season in the 13th minute, with Devin Grahn adding the insurance goal in the 75th minute to seal the win.

“I’m proud they pulled that together,” Sehome coach Andria Fountain said in a phone interview. “Not only did we manage to keep the shutout, but we managed to score a second goal.”

The Mariners travel to face Meridian on Thursday, Oct. 9.
