The Tigers’ Tanner Gates snuck in behind the Trojans defense in the eighth minute to get on the board.
Meridian came back in the second half with two corner kick goals. The first by Sergio Mejia-Ortiz in the 49th minute and the winner by Limny Nolasco in the 72nd minute.

“We’ve gotten to the point we realize there’s no giveup,” Spencer said. “A 1-0 deficit in our league is nothing. We kept creating opportunities and continued to go at them, go at them, go at them. We were happy at the end.”
Meridian (4-10-0, 3-7-0 NWC) faces Lynden Christian on Tuesday, April 29, at home.
