Question: What do you like most about playing football and being a member of your team?

Answer: The thing I like most is just being with my teammates. Being out there under the lights on Friday night. . . The high that you get just before the start of the game, you know you have about 48 minutes but you know you’re going to have your teammates right by your side all the way through. . . You know you have the whole week, you’re working for this, you’re working to get to this point and now you just have to go out and play. That’s my favorite part, right before the game starts.

Q: What is your favorite football memory?

A: My favorite favorite football memory is probably my first time I ran the ball in high school. It was practice and I just remember running it and just getting hit really hard. Right when I got up, I didn’t lay there or anything, I got up and my coach congratulated me right away and he was like, “that was a hard hit son. I’m surprised you got up.” I’ll never forget that, that’s for sure.

Q: Is there any other position you would be interested in playing, other than what you already do and why?

A: I would probably try playing defensive end. I have a good buddy of mine who plays defensive end and I understand it is hard and it’s not an easy job but I’d just like to try the new challenge, that would be the most fun part.

Q: Is there a reason you chose the jersey number you have?

A: Funny thing is I actually never chose it. My first game that I suited up one of my coaches, he just gave it to me and I just stuck with it ever since.

Q: What is your favorite play to run on game night and why?

A: My favorite play is the 26 crisscross. . . As wingback you don’t get to run the ball as much as another back so it’s one of the plays where I actually get to run the ball. That’s what I like about it. In the wingback position you get a lot of balls thrown to you and you get to run the ball, so it’s a lot of variety but that’s one of those plays where I get to run the ball.

Q: What is your favorite extra curricular activity other than football?

A: Other than football I love to play volleyball. . . I like the differences. I like you have to be really, I guess you could say it’s a sport where if your technique is not right you’re not going to do well. So, you have to have that really good technique when you play it. That’s the reason I like it, there is a good challenge.
