Question: How did you first start playing football?

Answer: My friends started playing tackle football in third grade, so I wanted to play, too. I’ve loved football ever since.

Q: What do you like most about playing football?

A: My favorite part is to be able to go out there and hit people.

Q: What is your favorite part of game night?

A: The “Star Spangled Banner,” because everyone is so amped up to compete.

Q: What is your favorite football memory?

A: Beating Blaine my sophomore year (2012) in the half-game in the last minute.

Q: What is your favorite play to run on game night and why?

A: Trips right Omaha Omaha 12 12 14 19 18, because it’s a fantastic play.

Q: Who is the funniest guy on your team and why?

A: Probably Jeff Holland a.k.a the Seal People from “The Eagle”.

Q: What is your usual/favorite pregame meal?

A: I guess whatever leftovers are in the fridge.

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals/superstitions?

A: Us water buffaloes (Kyle Young and I) chase around the hyenas (Tanner Tutterrow, Nick Dritsas and Dakota Jones).

Q: Is there a reason you chose your jersey number?

A: Spencer Blackburn and Neal Tilbury had all of the cool 70 numbers, so I thought 79 would be a good number.

Q: What position, other than the ones you currently play, would you like to try and why?

A: Quarterback, because our quarterbacks don’t do anything in practice.

Q: What drill do you dislike running the most in practice?

A: Seven-on-seven, because I’m not a part if it.

Q: Do you root for the Huskies or Cougars and why?

A: Cougars, because my uncle is a diehard Husky fan and hates it when I wear Cougars clothing.

Q: Who is your favorite NFL player and why?

A: J.J. Watt, because he is every defensive lineman’s inspiration.

Q: What do you think is the best sports movie and why?

A: “Friday Night Lights,” because it shows all of the emotion and physicality in the game of football.

Q: What other sports do you like to play?

A: I throw shot put and discus in the spring.

Q: What do you plan to do after you are done with high school?

A: My plan is to hopefully attend a four-year university.

Q: What other hobbies do you have?

A: I love to hunt and fish.

Q: What is the most played song on your phone/iPod?

A: “Nobody’s Perfect” by Hannah Montana.

Q: What is your favorite TV show and why?

A: “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” because we watch it as a team.

Q: What is your favorite video game?

A: “Hungry Shark Evolution.”

Q: What is your most favorite and least favorite class in school and why?

A: My favorite is World Lit, because I learn so much in that class. My least favorite is Machinery, because Mr. Feller piles all kinds of work on us.
